The new environmental regulations are more and more severe. They now adopt a much more stringent approach concerning the protection of surface and underground waters. The personnel of Les Laboratoires S.L. inc. is able to counsel and give technical support concerning the application of the environmental laws and regulations. It has been doing so for many years and offers a complete range of environmental and hydrogeological services for the small, to the heavy industry. The specialized personnel consists of engineers, geologists and qualified technicians.

Hydrogeological studies ;
characterization of the underground water table, such as the depth, direction, speed and vulnerability to contamination.
Research for drinking water ;
site evaluation, hydrogeology, design of pumping wells and pumping tests.
Numerical analysis of unrground flow and transport of contaminates, using Visual MODFLOW program
Tracer test of underground water ;
evaluation of the dispersion, estimation of the flow velocity and the evaluation of hydraulic interconnections.
Estimation of supply area of pumping wells.
Application of information systems.
Phase 1 environmental assessment according to CSA 768-94 standard ;
historical research, site inspection, evaluation of the risk of contamination (personnel certified as environmental site examiner – ESSA – by the Association Qu�becoise en �valuation Environnementale – AQVE).
Preliminary and detailed assessment ;
planification and realization of sampling campaigns, determination of the degree and the extent of the contamination of the soil and water.
Environmental tracking ;
track the evolution and / or the concentration of a contaminate.
Environmental management ;
sanitary landfill, wood residue disposal area, snow disposal area, hazardous material, petroleum installations, soil aggressivity and others.
Environmental management systems (SGE) ;
preparation and realization of environmental management systems, representation for the obtainment of ISO 14000 certificate and other.
Authorization certificate ;
application for authorization certificate in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Environment.
Plans and specifications ;
various residue disposal areas, snow disposal areas, petroleum products, compost areas.
Feasibility study ;
analysis of various aspects of a project to verify the viability with respect to the environment, the cost or other.
Impact studies ;
verification of elements such as : public health and welfare, environment surroundings, ecosystem, agriculture, climatic affects, natural resources, recycling and elimination of residues and waster and complementary aspects such as relocation of populations, archaeology, monuments, social indices and sceneries.
Installation of observation wells ;
diameters varying from 20 to 50 mm with protective caps.
